Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm Tour - Woodburn, Oregon
Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm Tour -
Is there anything as lovely as a full garden of tulips in full bloom? The Iverson Family of Woodburn have been growing tulips in the area for 32 years with the last 21 being open to the public with their Tulip Festivals. The first 11 years the tulips were shared with only a few friends and relatives.
With the love of tulips being so widespread the Iverson’s invite you to come and walk through their fields and get the feel for what a whole lot of tulips look like!
Each year the Iverson’s host a Tulip Festival in the spring (in 2008 it was March 20 – April 27th) with over 40 acres of tulips and daffodils. Every year the varieties are arranged differently in a new pattern of color as they rotate their fields to new locations. There are activities along with the beautiful fields so you will have a full day at the farm.
On the weekends they have the gardens for everyone to see and they have a crafters market place, pony rides, wine tasting, Dutch sausage, Mexican food, wooden shoe making, steam tractors and entertainment. The festival runs from 9 – 6.
The Gift shop is open daily from March – May 15th from 10 – 5 and during the Festival from 9 – 6. In the fall they are open September 18 – October 18, 10 – 5.
